What we are building, in the order we are building it.
Make serious strategy tooling — a real backtester, honest risk metrics, reproducible runs — available to people who are not running a trading desk, without asking them to hand over custody of anything.
Eventually, a place where a strategy is judged on a published record of its results rather than on a screenshot. That does not exist yet: making such a record hard to fake or cherry-pick is an open design problem, and it is the reason the tooling is being built first.
Three phases. Honest labels. Capital flows are gated on regulatory clearance — see the roadmap for detail.
Desktop app, CLI, private bots, deterministic backtesting and paper trading. Free, local-only, and unable to place real orders.
Publishing strategies together with a record of their results. No third-party capital. Not available, and its design is not final.
An idea, not a product: strategies that other people could put money into. It will not be offered unless and until legal counsel clears it. Nothing here is available, and TradeY accepts no deposits.
The principles that guide every decision at TradeY
The same bot over the same candles produces the same trade list, in the app and on the command line. A result you cannot reproduce is not a result.
Every run keeps a detailed, append-only trade journal you can read back, and the Risk Score formula is written down and versioned.
Everything runs on your machine and no TradeY server sits between your strategy and an exchange. Beta 0 never asks for exchange keys; when live trading returns, keys will stay encrypted on your machine and withdrawal-scoped keys will be refused. This is a boundary in the code, not a policy we could change our minds about.
