Download TradeY Beta 0

The desktop app (strategy editor, backtester, Risk Score) and the TradeY CLI, for Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Free. Paper trading only.

Before you install

Check the download

The SHA-256 of TradeY-Setup-1.0.0.exe is:

a8f3927fb39627664b3a838d9597d90ced0c924d0a12f92b8522682e78f3e184

In PowerShell, in the folder you downloaded it to, run:

Get-FileHash .\TradeY-Setup-1.0.0.exe -Algorithm SHA256

The Hash it prints must match the value above (upper or lower case does not matter). If it does not, delete the file and do not run it. The same value is in SHA256SUMS.txt on the release page.

"Windows protected your PC"

The Beta 0 installer is not code-signed yet, so Microsoft Defender SmartScreen shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" warning the first time you run it. This is expected for an unsigned beta. If you downloaded the file from this page and its hash matches, choose More info → Run anyway. If you got the file anywhere else, do not run it.

What you can do in Beta 0

Keep your PC on while a bot runs

A paper bot runs on your computer, not on a server. It only trades while your PC is on and TradeY is open — minimized or in the system tray is fine. While the PC sleeps or hibernates, the bot does not trade. When the PC wakes up, the bot catches up on the candles it missed without trading on them; if the price crossed its stop-loss or take-profit in the meantime, the position is closed at the price when the PC wakes up, not at the stop price. Shutdown or quitting TradeY ends the run, and a stopped run is not resumed: starting the bot again opens a new paper account. To keep a bot running for days, set Windows to never sleep while plugged in (Settings → System → Power & sleep on Windows 10, Power & battery on Windows 11).

Live trading, accounts, the strategy marketplace and published track records are not part of Beta 0. See the roadmap.
