Where TradeY is going, and why it's phased.

TradeY ships in stages. Beta 0 — free, local, paper trading only — is available today. Everything after it is a plan, not a promise, and anything involving other people's money does not ship without legal clearance.

Available now

Beta 0 — The tool, on paper

Desktop app, CLI, private bots, deterministic backtesting, a readable strategy language with syntax highlighting, an embedded TypeScript editor with Monaco, and paper trading on live market prices with simulated fills. Author a strategy, backtest it, paper-trade it on your own machine. Free. No accounts, no live trading, no third-party capital.

Next — planned

Beta 1 — Live trading on your own account

Running a strategy against your own exchange account, still on your own machine and still behind an explicit opt-in. It ships only after the safety work it needs is done: recovering cleanly from a crash, stop orders held by the exchange rather than by the app, and an independent security review.

Planned — not built

Later — Reputation marketplace

A place to publish strategies together with a record of their results and a Risk Score — with no third-party capital. Making such a record hard to fake or cherry-pick is still an open design problem, and the marketplace will not launch until it is solved.

An idea — gated on legal clearance

Maybe — Strategy vaults

Strategies that other people could put money into. This is not available, nothing about it is promised, and it will not be offered unless and until legal counsel clears it. TradeY accepts no deposits and manages no one's money.

Why phased

Each stage adds risk for the people using it, so each one waits until the previous one is solid. Live trading waits on safety work. Anything that pools other people's money carries regulatory obligations in most jurisdictions, and TradeY will not build or offer anything of the kind without legal advice — and a legal entity — behind it.

Start with Beta 0.

The desktop app and the CLI are available today, free, for paper trading. Later stages ship only when they are ready.
